Welcome

I am currently accepting new clients.

My mission is to ensure quality care and improve your life through teaching, coaching, and practicing skills in session to apply daily.
I believe that family of origin plays an essential role in our life experience.  Our thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and personality are shaped by early experiences in our families.

I treat the following:

  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Eating Disorders

For a family member with an eating disorder, I would recommend family therapy and participation in a family meal.   This technique is used in the Maudsley Approach.  You can find out more information about this approach at www.maudsleyparents.org.

The purpose of the National Association of Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders (ANAD) support groups is to help all participants to better understand the nature of eating disorders and the recovery  process, while providing opportunities to share insights and support for those with an eating disorder and/or their Families and Friends.  ANAD support groups are guided by the use of "Step to A-N-A-D"  applying new attitudes and directions.  It is ANAD's philosophy that we can learn to improve out eating habits, as we must do for our healthy biological existence and day to day living.  In this respect ANAD differs from the recovery of alcoholics in that we must learn healthy food habits to survive, while alcoholics must eliminate their addictive substance to survive.  Survivors of both must learn good mental health habits.  For more information and groups in your area goto www.anad.org.  For more information and/or register for the group(s) please contact Courtney Westin, LCMFT at 240-565-1169 or admin@cd4therapy.com.  Space is limited.
